OUR LOCATION
The cottages are located just off the Franz Josef Highway.
Plug the address into your navigation system and enter the driveway - there is a sign out on the road letting you know you have arrived at Te Awa Cottages.
The Cottages are to the right as you enter.
Franz Josef town centre is 2km away, you can drive there or walk via the Gibb Trail. Here you will find bars, cafes and restaurants, retail, the Waiho Hot Tubs, laundromats, wildlife experiences, your gateway to the glaciers, hikes, walks and guided tour companies. The Tatare River is a 2-minute walk away and Lake Mapourika is a 5-minute drive away. Okarito is a 20-25 minute drive away (north and then west).
